AutoX11 is a tool to automate tasks in an X11 environment.
It is intended to be used in shell scripts, utilizing the shell's logic.

If for whatever reason you want to use AutoX11 to type -h or --help, you can split it up into two calls to avoid getting the help text instead;
autox11 type -; autox11 type h

example script that closes all visible inactive windows every 10 seconds (because I couldn't come up with a better idea for an example that isn't too specific):
#!/bin/sh
while true; do
  autox11 clickon inactiveXbutton.png && continue
  sleep 10
done

Dependencies for AutoX11 itself:
libX11
libXtst
gdk-pixbuf
glib/gobject
apt line for Debian and derivatives: apt-get install libx11-dev libxtst-dev libgdk-pixbuf2.0-dev libglib2.0-dev

Dependencies to build the optional autox11_designer:
gtk+3
gtksourceview
apt line for Debian and derivatives: apt-get install libgtk-3-dev libgtksourceview-3.0-dev

To compile, just type make
